Are you familiar with wikis?
A wiki is essentially an editable type of webpage. It's based on the idea that users of the internet can be CONTRIBUTORS as well as CONSUMERS. You like that, right?
It requires very good manners (for example, not deleting other peoples' work).
So, I was browsing some topics on wikianswers.com and I found two questions for our class. In class today, we are going to work in medium-sized cooperative groups to improve the answers that are already on this wikianswers reagrding WW2.
Question #1: link How did the US mobilize to fight in WW2?
Question #2: link How did US mobilization for WW2 affect women and minorities?
Go to the links and then IMPROVE the existing answers with information from the the textbook.
Your GOAL is to create the most complete, detailed, comprehensive answer.

Hello Ms. Aiello,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to stop by and say how great it is to see our wiki being used as a collaborative learning tool in the classroom! We can build something special when we put our minds together. You can also find some more ideas for using Answers.com in the classroom at http://educator.answers.com/
Sincerely,
Matthew Crowder
